It is produced in the regions of Uji, Fukuoka, and Shizuoka. This tea falls into the category of shaded teas, meaning that the leaves are deprived of light to enhance their umami flavor. This organic green tea is handcrafted by the Oohashi family in the Yame region. They employ various artisanal techniques, such as using straw from their rice fields to cover the tea leaves. The Oohashi family has developed their own artisanal and organic methods to cultivate their tea under the best conditions.
