After long reflections on what tea represents across different cultures, the simplicity with which it can be shared, and the culinary pairings it offers, we decided to found Thestimony in 2024.
We are a small family business founded by two sisters: one is a Certified Tea Sommelier with the Tea and Herbal Association of Canada, and the other has a finance background. Our many travels to Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea have convinced us of the importance of sourcing directly from producers. The choice of these countries is explained by the distinctive quality of their teas and their unique expertise.
Our explorations in these regions have allowed us to delve into their tea culture, visit tea gardens, and understand the philosophy and history of the producers we work with today. Collaborating with producers who share our philosophy is essential; we learn their stories, understand their environment, and sustainably support their production methods.
Each tasting is, for us, an opportunity to convey the unique essence of each terroir.
